ABOUT
The Waffle Shop billboard repurposes a defunct rooftop billboard structure atop the Waffle Shop/Conflict Kitchen building and replaces the static message of a commercial sign with an experimental publishing system in the sky for stories, thoughts, and ideas. The system uses a set of custom-made letters that float on rails, with only the sky as the background.

Free for the Month of June, Your Text on Our Billboard
We are having a contest for the 4 weekly slots on our billboard this June.
The billboard is an experimental publishing system in the sky for stories, thoughts, and ideas. We ask that you try to push beyond the conventional and think creatively and evocatively about your submission. Go to www.waffleshopbillboard.org to learn more about the billboard!
Here’s how it works:
- Deadline: MAY 21, 2012
- The selection committee will notify all applicants on MAY 25th.
- We will ONLY accept submissions from individuals, no advertisements.
- Please no offensive submissions.
- We are able to accommodate roughly 25 characters a line (including spaces) for a total of 125 or less characters on the 5 lines of the billboard. Please check www.waffleshopbillboard.org for the exact letters available.
- You will receive a hi-res image of your billboard in July!
